💰Your investing cheat code

Hi there,
One of the biggest investing myths is that you need a lot of money to get started. You don't. In fact, if you can invest just $200 a month consistently, you're already ahead of most people.
The key isn't the amount. It's building a system you can stick with for decades.
If I were helping a beginner invest $200 a month, I'd keep it incredibly simple.
I'd split it into three buckets.
Bucket #1: The Foundation ($80)
The largest portion would go into a broad market fund like VOO.
This gives you ownership in hundreds of America's largest companies all at once.
No stock picking. No guessing. Just a simple way to participate in the growth of the economy.
Bucket #2: Growth ($60)
Next, I'd add a growth-focused ETF like VUG or QQQM.
These funds tend to have more exposure to technology and innovative companies.
They're typically more volatile, but they also offer greater long-term growth potential.
If you're younger and have decades ahead of you, this bucket can help accelerate your portfolio over time.
Bucket #3: Dividends ($60)
The final piece would go into a dividend-focused fund like SCHD.
These companies often pay cash distributions to shareholders and tend to be more mature, established businesses. It's a nice complement to the growth side of your portfolio.
Now here's the part most people underestimate: consistency matters more than perfection. The difference between investing $200 once and investing $200 every month is life-changing.
At first, it feels slow. Then compounding starts to take over.
A few years become a decade. A decade becomes two.
And suddenly your portfolio is doing more work than you are.
That's why I always encourage people to automate their investments.
Set it up once. Let it happen every month. Remove the emotion from the process.
Because wealth is rarely built through one brilliant investment, it's built through hundreds of boring, consistent contributions made over a very long period of time.
The sooner you start, the less you need to invest. And that's the closest thing investing has to a cheat code.
