đź’°What success taught me about silence

Hi there,

When I first started making progress in business and investing, I was excited. Naturally, I wanted to share it. New ideas. Big goals. Small wins that felt huge at the time.

But over time, I learned something that changed how I move.

If you want to build wealth, you have to get comfortable being quiet. Not because you’re hiding anything. Because not everyone around you will understand what you’re building.

Early on, I made the mistake of sharing big ideas with the wrong people. I’d talk about plans, businesses I wanted to start, and things I was excited about. Most of the time, the response wasn’t helpful.

Some people simply couldn’t relate. They weren’t thinking long term, or they’d never tried building something themselves. Other times, the reaction was subtle discouragement. Doubt disguised as advice.

It took me a while to realize: you should share your goals with people ahead of you, not people who don’t understand the path.

The same thing applies to wins. When things start going well, there’s a temptation to talk about it. The money you’re making. The milestones you’ve hit. The lifestyle upgrades. But I’ve found something interesting.

Talking about your wins too early gives you a small dopamine hit. It feels good in the moment, but it also invites unnecessary opinions, comparisons, and judgment.

It’s better to let things solidify first. Build quietly. Execute quietly. Celebrate quietly. And one more thing I learned the hard way: keep your finances private.

How much you make. How much you have. Your net worth. Your spending habits. Those conversations belong with mentors, advisers, or people you truly trust, not with everyone around you. Because the truth is simple.

When you start leveling up, people see you differently. Some will support you. Others will judge you. Some will feel uncomfortable. None of that matters if you stay focused.

Get comfortable moving in silence. Let the results speak later.
