💰What I did when the market dropped $1 trillion

Hi there,
When the stock market dropped a trillion dollars in a single day over the weekend, my phone lit up. Texts, headlines, panic everywhere. Social media made it feel like the sky was falling. But we’ve been here before.
Wars, pandemics, and natural disasters have caused the market to crash many times throughout history. But I’ve learned that when everyone else is scared, that’s usually the best time to invest. See, markets move in cycles - ups, downs, and then up again. The panic creates opportunity. You get to buy great companies at a discount before the market recovers.
So instead of panicking, here’s what I started buying:
- Shopify (SHOP) – E-commerce isn’t going anywhere.
- Micron Technology (MU) – The backbone of AI and memory chips.
- CrowdStrike (CRWD) – Cybersecurity for the digital future.
- VOO – The S&P 500 index fund for instant diversification.
- VXUS – Exposure to global markets.
- Bitcoin (BTC) – A high-risk, high-reward hedge for the long term.
The secret isn’t timing the market, it’s trusting the market. Long-term investing works because the economy grows, innovation continues, and human progress doesn’t stop after a bad week.
I became a millionaire in my twenties by sticking to this mindset: buy when it hurts, hold through the noise, and think long-term. So if you’re feeling nervous about the dips, remember - those are the moments that make millionaires.
