💰The only purchase that’s a waste of money

Hi there,

When I first joined college, I wanted to fit in.
Every morning before class, I’d grab a coffee like everyone else.

Backpack, headphones, latte in hand - I felt like I was becoming someone.

It was part of that “college grind” image.
You know, the one that screams future success loading.

So why would I ever tell you not to buy the coffee?

Because it’s expensive?
Because it’s a bad habit?
Because I could’ve saved that money instead?

Nope.

It’s because I don’t even like coffee.
(Yeah, I know, not exactly the confession you expect from a guy who hustles 24/7 lol)

But here’s the truth:
The only purchase that’s truly a waste of money is the one that doesn’t mean anything to you.

Back then, I was spending to look successful, not to feel it.

It wasn’t about joy or value; it was about image.

Years later, when I started helping people with their finances, I saw the same thing. We spend on what we think we should want, not what actually makes us happy.

So this year? I invested in a designer belt for the right reasons: the value it adds to my life and the way it makes me feel. Not for the way it makes me look.

So, if your daily coffee genuinely makes your morning better, buy it.
But if it doesn’t, skip it.

Spend on what matters to you.
That’s the real flex.
