💰Don't wait until you have more money

Hi there,

There's a mistake I see people make with saving all the time.

They tell themselves: “I'll open a high-yield savings account once I actually have enough money saved.”

Maybe when they hit $5,000. Or $10,000. Or finally have that perfect 3–6 month emergency fund. But I think that's backwards.

You don't build good financial systems after you have money.

You build them so you're ready when the money comes.

If you only have $100 saved today, that $100 still deserves to be working for you.

Will $100 in a HYSA make you rich from interest? Of course not. That's not the point.

The point is that you're building the habit of putting your money in the right place from day one. Then $100 becomes $500. $500 becomes $1,000.

Eventually, you're building toward that 3–6 month emergency fund and every dollar has had the opportunity to earn interest along the way.

I think people sometimes wait until they feel financially “ready” before making smart money moves. But that's like waiting until you're fit before joining a gym.

The system is what helps you get there.

A HYSA isn't a reward you unlock once you're good at saving. It's simply a better place to build your savings.

Whether you're starting with $50 or $50,000, give your money the opportunity to work harder from the beginning.
