💰Don't wait until January to do this

Hi there,

Can you believe we're already nearing the end of 2026?

I feel like we were just setting New Year's resolutions a few weeks ago. And now, there are only about 70 days left in the year.

Here's something I've noticed: most people spend the last few months of the year waiting for the next one to start.

They tell themselves they'll start saving in January.

They'll finally invest when the new year begins.

They'll get serious about their goals after the holidays.

But I've learned that the people who get ahead don't wait for the perfect time. They start with what they have. And honestly, 70 days is plenty of time to make meaningful progress.

If I wanted to finish 2026 strong financially, here's what I'd do:

1. Look at where my money went.

Go through your spending over the past few months. Find the subscriptions, unnecessary purchases, and expenses you can cut back on. You might be surprised how much money you can free up.

2. Review my retirement contributions.

Check how much you've contributed to your 401(k) this year. If your employer offers a match, make sure you're taking advantage of it. And if you have extra money available, consider increasing your contributions before the year ends.

3. Start investing automatically.

Even if it's just $25 or $50 a week, set up recurring investments in diversified, low-cost index funds. You don't need thousands of dollars to get started.

4. Make my savings work harder.

If your emergency fund is sitting in a traditional savings account earning almost nothing, compare high-yield savings accounts. Your money could be earning more interest without taking on stock market risk.

5. Pick one habit and stick to it.

Maybe it's tracking every dollar. Maybe it's cooking at home more often.

Or maybe it's spending 30 minutes every day learning a skill that could increase your income. Whatever it is, commit to doing it consistently until December 31.

Because here's the thing. You don't need to completely change your life in 70 days. You just need to build enough momentum that when January arrives, you're not starting from zero.

When I was building my businesses, I learned that progress rarely came from one big decision. It came from showing up, making small improvements, and repeating them long enough to see results. Your finances work the same way.

While everyone else is waiting for January 1 to get serious, you can already be two months ahead. Don't wait for a new year to become a better version of yourself. Start today.
