đź’°Can a 9-to-5 Make You Wealthy?
Sep 14, 2025read time 2 minutes
Hi there,
I was talking to my barber the other day about how everyone wants to be an entrepreneur. To kickstart their own business, watch it grow, and make their first million(s). In my opinion, this is an admirable dream that a lot of internet gurus are going to tell you is worth going after. But not me.
I’m here to tell you that sometimes, it’s okay to stick to your 9-to-5.
Though the modern world treats entrepreneurship like the golden standard, you have to remember that being your own boss is a 24/7 job. Sometimes it’s okay to want a consistent income. To get a stable salary at the end of every month and to be reassured by job security.
The best part is this: you can become a millionaire while working a 9-to-5. In fact, there are so many people out there who are making hundreds of thousands of dollars but still living paycheck to paycheck. But the people who put their money to work and stay consistent are the ones who become quiet millionaires.
One of my top books of all time, The Millionaire Next Door by Thomas J. Stanley dives into this a little deeper, talking about how discipline and consistency can get you anywhere in life.
So what exactly do you have to do to become a millionaire while working a 9-to-5? Here is a summary:
- BUDGET your expenses.
- BUILD an emergency fund and store it in a High-Yield Savings Account.
- READ my Beginner’s Guide to the Stock Market.
- OPEN an investing account and put your money in the S&P500.
- BUILD your credit score with a recommended credit card or improve it here.
- READ more books; fall in love with learning and growing.
Do this consistently and let the power of compounding make you wealthy!
