đź’°Are You Richer Than You Think?

Hi there,
Last week, I had the pleasure of attending two annual industry conferences. These events give me the opportunity to network with quite a few successful business owners and millionaires. And every time I rub shoulders with the ultra-rich, I am reminded of one thing: wealth isn’t flashy.
People with the most wealth don’t show off or flaunt. Real wealth is quiet. Sometimes, you can’t even tell they’re wealthy. Seeing this in real life really hammered the point for me.
But like the ultra-wealthy, there are other signs you might be doing well financially, so here are 6 subtle signs to look out for:
1. You're earning the median income.
Here are the earnings by age so you can take a look:
2. You have an emergency fund worth $2,000.
Most people can’t even afford a $1,000 emergency. But having 3 - 6 months of expenses in your high-yield savings account is best.
3. You move quietly.
That means you don’t flaunt or show off your wealth to get validation from others. You don’t need to post designer brands on your social media for people’s approval. That is how you actually stay or get poor. When you get rich, you don’t tell anyone.
4. You have no bad debt.
The average American has tens of thousands in debt, not including their mortgage. So, no credit card, car loan, or other bad debt means you’re ahead.
5. You are investing or saving 20% of your income.
You are investing in stocks, saving and building your emergency fund, or saving for a big purchase. Whatever it might be, this means you are not in survival mode and are actually building your wealth.
6. You are generous, you are giving.
Not every rich person does this, but a lot do, and it may not be out in the open, but you will see signs.
How many of these traits do you hold? You may be richer than you think. Let us know by hitting reply on this email!
