💰9 countries where you’ll feel rich

Hi there,

Over the past few years, I’ve experimented with working remotely from different places, and it has completely changed how I think about money.

Same income. Very different lifestyle.

It made me realize something simple: where you live matters just as much as how much you earn.

So I started putting together a list of countries where around $2,000 a month can feel closer to $10,000 in terms of lifestyle. Here’s what I found.

9. Turkey
A mix of culture, history, and relatively low living costs. Great food, great cities, and your money stretches further than most Western countries.

8. Malaysia
Modern infrastructure with affordable living. You get city life, great food, and strong internet for remote work.

7. Indonesia
Especially places like Bali. Low rent, cheap meals, and a strong remote work community.

6. Portugal
One of the most affordable options in Western Europe. Great weather, safety, and a slower pace of life.

5. Colombia
Vibrant cities, warm weather, and affordable living. You can eat well and live comfortably without overspending.

4. Ecuador
Underrated. Low cost of living, good healthcare, and a relaxed lifestyle.

3. Mexico
Close to the U.S., diverse cities, great food, and very livable on a modest budget.

2. Vietnam
One of the best value-for-money countries. Food, rent, and transport are all extremely affordable.

1. Thailand
A favorite for a reason. Amazing food, strong infrastructure, and a very comfortable lifestyle for a low monthly cost.

What stands out across all of these?

Lower costs. Affordable healthcare. Better lifestyle-to-expense ratio.

When your expenses drop, everything else improves. You save more. You invest more. You create options. I’ve already tested a few of these places myself, and every time I do, it reinforces the same idea. This isn’t about escaping your life. It’s about designing it better. And honestly, I’m excited to work my way through this entire list.
