💰10 things worth the money

Hi there,
For a long time, I thought being good with money meant cutting costs everywhere.
What I’ve learned instead is this: some things are worth paying for because they quietly make everything else better.
Here are 10 things I’ll always spend money on, even as a frugal person, because they pay you back over time.
1. The right mattress
Sleep is the foundation of everything. Better sleep means better decisions, better mood, better health. Spending more here improves your entire life.
2. High-quality shoes
Not the most expensive, just well-made and comfortable. You’re on your feet every day. Take care of them.
3. Whole, healthy food
If it grows from the earth, eat more of it. If it’s heavily processed, eat less. Healthier food may cost more now, but it saves you massive healthcare costs later.
4. A reliable car (Toyota or Honda)
Safe. Durable. Low maintenance. If you need a car, these are consistently smart choices and cheaper to insure. Compare offers to save even more.
5. Proper insurance
One accident can wipe out years of progress. Car, health, renters’ or homeowner’s insurance, and term life insurance for most people. Protection matters.
6. Preventive maintenance
Fix the leak now, not after it causes $20,000 in damage.
Get annual physicals. Maintain your car. Small costs today prevent massive ones later.
7. Giving
Donating to causes, helping family, supporting people you care about. Generosity adds meaning and abundance that hoarding never will. It also rewires your brain to think bigger.
8. A good office chair
You don’t need a $4,000 chair, just a solid one. Your back, posture, and future health will thank you.
9. A safe place to live
Paying a little more for safety is worth it. Peace of mind is priceless.
10. Learning
Books. Courses. Mentors. Skills compound faster than money. This is the highest-return investment you can make.
If you’re new here, I’m Milan. I immigrated young, started learning this stuff early, and now have multiple millions invested. I teach what school never did: how money actually works, and how to build wealth with intention.
Today’s lesson is this: spend less on what doesn’t matter. Spend more on what makes you healthier, safer, and more capable. That’s how frugal turns into wealthy.
